I work out at my local YMCA, and they have a great child care program with such nice people. My little boy has a blast there (after he gets over the initial shock of me leaving him). Yesterday, I went to pick him up after my work out, and the lady in charge (we'll call her Bonnie) motioned to me that she needed to talk to me.
Oh crap, what the heck did my child do?
I walked over to see what in the world she needed to talk to me about, and she said that she didn't want to say anything in front of the other moms so we should step outside.
I looked the little man over for any battle wounds. Nope, he's fine. Did he bite someone? Did he hit someone? Did he throw something? Did he learn a four letter word?!
My friend, who was picking up her little girl, walked out into the hall with me, and Bonnie turned to her and said, "Could you give us a minute? I need to speak with her privately."
We exchanged confused/worried glances and she walked away.
By this point I felt like a five year old whose parents just found out she'd ate all the cookies or something. What in the world is this woman going to say to me?
I followed Bonnie to the end of the hall. She turned to me and said, very seriously, "Were you aware that he had a poopy diaper when you dropped him off?"
Uhhh, no? I don't usually like to pawn my stinky child off on other people. I changed him right before we left the house!
"The rules say I should have come to get you, but since he was a little upset when you left, I didn't want to do that. I had to have someone change him. It was a bad one."
Ummmm, ok. Sorry?
"Just make sure he has a clean diaper next time."
Will do! I didn't realize a poopy diaper could cause such a stir!
haha! You better have a conversation with him about when it is and is not okay to poop!
