I'm a jerk

If you recall, a few days ago I gave a shout out to my mom for her birthday. Well, little did I know, my mother-in-law's birthday was a couple weeks ago! I know, I know I should have known when her birthday was, but I was out of town and I just forgot! And my adorable, cleft-chinned husband forgot too. Nice one, honey.

Let me tell you a few things about Shannon (my mother-in-law). She is the best quilter I know. She is an amazing cook. She is so thoughtful and caring. She is incredibly creative. She has four sons. She pretty much single-handedly planned our wedding. Then, on our wedding day she had to be rushed to the hospital but managed to persuade the doctors to release her so she could make it to the reception. She is soft spoken but has a feisty, feminist side. She loves her children and grandchildren so much, and wishes we would all stop moving so far away from her! Well, Shannon we love you too! And we are so sorry we forgot your birthday.
