I have, seriously, had the worst luck with technology the past few weeks. First, we lost our ipod touch. Then, our internet started going out every day. Then, I lost my phone (don't worry, some kind soul found it and made efforts to get it back to me...bless him). And now, the screen on my computer broke. Bahhhh! We were planning on getting me a new computer--but not until December. Seriously, MacBook? You couldn't have waited just a few more months to go down the crapper?
Now, we get to make one of those "do we need to spend hundreds of dollars and get a new one NOW or can we wait" type of decisions, and those are just never fun.
On the bright side, I think this has been good motivation for Weston to buy is own dang computer since mine can't leave the living room (where it is currently attached to the tv so it can be of some use) and go to school with him anymore. There's a silver lining to every cloud, right?

Boo. I would go ahead and get a desktop because that's probably what you should have with the photography side of things. And yes, I am typing this on my nearly dead MacBook which means I should stop typing and remind Andrew that I have my new desktop picked out... Just kidding. Kinda.
ReplyDeleteBut really. Good luck with getting everything sorted out! Computers are a headache, especially when you're a photographer and they run slow or your hard drive crashes or the monitor goes out.
I want a new laptop too! Maybe in fall when you can get the free ipod with a new purchase!
