A Little Family Togetherness

Now that the evil Step has given Weston back to us, we can finally have some family time. He is on his Psych rotation right now which means he has been getting home around 2:00. It's lovely! So, to take advantage of having the third member of our family around, we took a little trip to the park a couple nights ago. (yes, I said night, because here in Houston if you go to the park during the day, the heat will kill you) Anyway, Jackson loved chasing the birds, playing on the playground, and taking an impromptu jaunt through the splash park. It was a lovely evening.

While I'm on the topic of Hermann Park, I just have to say that it would be so much nicer and more enjoyable sans all of the sketchy homeless people sleeping on the picnic tables and park benches...and the playground. I'm thinking that Houston needs some more homeless shelters or something because 1) I would rather not have my child playing in that environment and 2) It is way too freakin hot to be sleeping outside right now!

  4. Oh the homeless people are harmless... besides- they're probably too high or drunk to do much harm ;)
