Springy springtime

Yes, I realize it's February and a good chunk of the rest of the country is still in freeze-mode, but here in Houston spring has sprung! I cannot tell you how ecstatic this makes me. I can literally feel my mood being lifted every time I walk outside into the balmy 70 degree weather. Honestly, how can you not be in a good mood while taking a nice stroll through the park? The days are getting longer, Jackson can actually play at the park now, we can open the windows, and the ridiculously noisy insects are buzzing away outside. Ahhh. Bliss.
Weston, Jackson, and I went on a few walks this past weekend, and I found myself not being such a Houston-hater. I think I get a little high on warm weather. Seriously, I get giddy happy. I'm sure I will be back to my grumbling as soon as the humidity reaches 250%, but for now I'm going to enjoy my spring-time drunkenness and bask in the beauty that February has brought us.
