The Only Time Shopping Makes me Depressed...

...is when I'm pregnant. At first, it's fun to buy maternity clothes, but by the time third trimester rolls around, I just want to fit into normal-sized clothes again! I'm in Vegas visiting my mom, and if you know either of us very well, you know that when we get together and go to the mall it can be very dangerous (I think it scares Weston a little bit). Now, normally this would be super fun and exciting for me, but I've reached the point in my pregnancy where I feel like nothing looks good on me. I don't so much mind my tummy growing, (there is a tiny human in there after all) it's the back side that I can't stand. When I get pregnant, I suddenly sprout a ghetto booty and I can't seem to get used to it. At the risk of sounding incredibly vain, I cannot wait to have this baby so my behind will go back to it's normal size!

On the bright side, I get to oooo and ahhh over cute, tiny, little newborn clothes again. That, I love. There's just something about teeny tiny pants and socks that melts my heart and makes me forget about my big booty (big booty big booty big booty, ahhhh yeah). Another thing I don't mind so much about third trimester is that I am feeling this baby move more than ever nowadays! I do love that part of pregnancy, I must say. This kid is definitely a wiggle worm. I was hoping I would get a calmer, less energetic child this time around, but if movement in the womb is any indication for how much he's going to move outside, I'm in for some trouble! Despite my better judgement, knowing how little sleep I'm going to get, I really can't wait to meet this little man and have a sweet-smelling, cuddly newborn again.

  1. I, on the other hand, loved how my big pregnant belly made my already ghetto booty look proportional :) Be glad that you have a cute patoot to go back to!

I'm excited to meet that little man too- he's gonna be a cutie!

  3. Yeah I agree. I am not digging my growing hips and thighs, it just seems unfair seeing as the baby lives in my tummy and I am still working out and eating like I was before pregnancy. Blast this pregnancy business. Thank goodness there is only one trimester like this and the end is in sight.
