Speaking of new baby, I am almost 37 weeks! That means that on Tuesday, I will be considered "full term" and the baby could come at any time. I am torn between feeling like I want him out of my ransacked, tired, sore body and feeling not ready at all for him to come. I guess it depends on how much heartburn and Braxton Hicks contractions I've had that day.
I've realized that I need to soak up every minute I have with my little Jackson, because he is never going to be an only child again (weird!). We've been trying to get some fun things packed into our schedule, and now that the weather has cooled off that means A LOT of park time!
Jackson turned 2 on October 10, and we had a little birthday party for him. This is how he chose to eat his cupcake.
He's always been a little OCD about his hands being dirty. I guess the best solution is to not use them?
Yesterday, we went to Zoo Boo at the Houston Zoo. Jackson is a pirate this Halloween. When I got him dressed and told him to go show Daddy his pirate costume, he ran out of his room and said, "ARRRRR." So cute! The costume came with a cute pirate hat, but he refuses to keep it on his head. Oh well.
Jackson now knows that when he says "trick or treat" he gets candy--a very important childhood lesson if you ask me.
And, just for good measure, here are a couple animals we saw at the zoo.
